A circular walk of this historic Georgian harbour village with it's quaint granite cottages. Charlestown harbour was planned by Charles Rashleigh and built between 1790 and 1810, to export copper and clay. Old sailing ships and galleons are berthed in the harbour, it is also a filming location (The Eagle has Landed, Treasure Island, The Three Musketeers). Charlestown, remarkably has survived against the odds as a working port and a small amount of china clay is still exported, it has also escaped development and remains one of the most charming villages on the Cornish coast.
