Sidmouth lies on the Jurassic Heritage Coast with a constantly changing panorama of spectacular landscapes. Its many Regency buildings add elegance and distinction to the Esplanade and it is easy to see why it was a favourite with Royalty. There's a pebble beach as well as a wonderful expanse of sand and rock pools at Jacob's Ladder. Sidmouth is well known as a Floral Town and has won many awards for its colourful displays. The town also plays host to the internationally renowned Folk Festival in August
