Cornwall & Devon - for great holidays

Details of Bodmin

Bodmin, Cornwall

The former county town of Cornwall and mentioned in the Domesday Book. There are many places to visit including the military museum, town museum, Shire House, Bodmin Jail and the leisure centre. The great houses of Lanhydrock (NT) and Pencarrow are a short journey away. There is also a fine steam railway and trains depart from the central Bodmin General station and there is access from the town to the popular Camel Trail cycle route which takes you on a scenic route to Padstow.
Also for walkers and cyclists are the nature trails at nearby Cardinham woods.

Twinned with Le Relecq Kerhuon, France and Bederkesa, Germany.
