A large west facing level golden sandy beach tucked between Trevelgue Head to the north and Wine Cove promontory to the south. Porth is an extremely popular family beach and is considered to have safe bathing. A stream runs along the northern side of the beach and swimming is prohibited here. Activities include swimming, kite flying, fishing (off Porth Island, the site of an Iron Age fort).
