At the end of quite steep narrow country lanes is the south west facing sandy secluded Hemmick beach, lying at the foot of the Dodman. Offers good rock pools to explore at low tide and has a pebbly stream flowing towards the sea. The beach is quite small and usually uncrowded. Excellent but strenuous walking east on to the Dodman, or the easier option west towards Caerhays.
Facilities: Very limited parking, Dogs allowed.
