Mother Ivey's Bay, Cornwall |
Mother Ivey’s Bay is beautiful year round; the coastline is ablaze with wild flowers in May and June. Areas close by have been designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest because of the rarity of the plants and wildlife found here. The stunning isolated rural long sandy beach lies on the northern side of Trevose Head sheltered from westerly gales by the Merope Rocks. A lifeboat station is also sited here and is plainly visible from the beach. The Bay is safe from surf and currents, but care should be taken as the beach shelves quickly to deep water.
Facilities: Small car park near beach
