On the Camel Estuary, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the top ten beaches in the world with its long stretch of golden sandy beach, together with interesting sand dunes and rock pools. The mild climate and safe swimming provides a haven for all visitors. West facing Daymer Bay holds great appeal for those who wind surf, kite surf or sail. There are many interesting walks along the coastal footpath which offers magnificent views across the Camel Estuary and surrounding coastline. St Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance across St Enodoc Golf Course and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman.
