Morvah is a tiny, rural, coastal village nine miles from Penzance, on the coastal road between St. Just and St. Ives. It is a beautiful spot and within easy reach of the Cornish coastal path that affords stunning local views of the cliffs and the Atlantic.
For both visitors and residents alike, Morvah is a quiet and peaceful spot with an abundance of wild flowers. The nearest beach, within walking distance of the village, is Portheras Cove.
For history-lovers, above the village of Morvah is an abundance of Cornwall's now redundant tin mines. Below Ding Dong mine is Chun Quoit, Chun Castle and Men-an-Tol. Chun Castle is an iron-age fort and both Chun Quoit and Men-an-Tol are stunning examples of early sites of worship. Many a bird-watcher gathers at these sites where birds of prey can often be spotted circling above the hedgerows.
