Cornwall & Devon - for great holidays

Details of Crediton

Crediton, Devon

Birthplace of St Boniface in AD680, the rural town of Crediton lies in the heart of Devon among rolling green hills. Visit the friendly indoor market or wander the main street, with its small specialist shops - many selling local produce - and plenty of places to eat. A church trail exploring many of the outstanding churches in the area, as well as a local town trail, are available, enabling you to discover the hidden historic and architectural gems of the town and offering a fascinating insight into their history. The parish church of the Holy Cross is constructed of magnificent red sandstone, and away form the main road, side streets reveal delightful cottages in cob and brick. A Local Farmers Market is held on the first Saturday of the month. Email: info@devonshireheartland.co.uk http://www.middevon.gov.uk/tourism
