Details of Land's End
Land's End, Cornwall
Mainland Britain’s most westerly point our most well known landmark. The 200 foot high granite cliffs gaze out across the Atlantic Ocean to the Longships Lighthouse, the Isles of Scilly 28 miles distant and beyond that – America. Land’s End itself is now in private ownership and has a hotel, exhibition halls, play areas, Greeb farm, speciality shops, craftsmen and an exhibition dedicated to all those ‘end to enders’ who cover the distance between here and John O’Groats in an often bizarre and always exhausting fashion.
