Cornwall & Devon - for great holidays

Details of Lamorna Cove

Lamorna Cove, Cornwall

A sheltered cove at the head of a wooded valley, just along the coast from Mousehole. Where once there lied a noisy granite quarry a hundred years ago, there is now just a peaceful harbour hamlet. The artist Lamorna Birch romanticised the area in his early 20th century work. There are some interesting Neolithic sites nearby such as the Merry Maidens stone circle.
