Cornwall & Devon - for great holidays

Details of Gunwalloe

Gunwalloe, Cornwall

Adjoining Church Cove, this beautiful, but fairly isolated spot, is a charming place to spend a sunny day, and equally good for storm watching. Halzephron Cliff to the north is the site of many a shipwreck in the past. The pretty church of St Winwaloe is precariously situated and only separated from the sea by a rocky mound. The first transatlantic signals were transmitted by Marconi from nearby Poldhu Point.
