Details of Bovey Tracey
Bovey Tracey, Devon
Bovey Tracey is one of the main gateway towns to Dartmoor, with a number of unique visitor attractions and mixture of shops. A pretty cob and Dartmoor-granite built town, situated on the river Bovey, it is home to an internationally famous gallery - the Devon Guild of Craftsmen. The gallery in a 19th century water mill has an exhibition space with themed shows throughout the year and a popular café. Other attractions include the Cardew Teapot factory and ship, the House of Marbles glass blowing and visitor centre, Becky Falls and a heritage centre. Nearby you can find Trago Mills retail and visitor park and Stover Country Park, which has over 100 acres of woodland, heathlands and marsh and a 10 acre lake. On alternate Saturdays, the town’s farmer's market sells local produce.
Twinned with Le Molay-Littry, France
