A beautiful, unspoilt fishing village, once a smuggler's haven, where fishermen still use the old capstans on the beach for pulling up their boats. The beach is a natural sun trap and the views across the bay from Jubilee Gardens are simply stunning. Spectacular scenery can be enjoyed on coastal walks. The village atmosphere is friendly and informal, with a variety of interesting shops and restaurants, an annual regatta in the summer and a Rhythm and Blues festival every October.
