Part Victorian and part Georgian, the seaside town of Dawlish has special charm and character.
At its heart you'll find an attractive park with colourful flower beds, tall palms, giant cacti, and other exotic plants. All this provides a perfect setting for the stream, that cascades over a series of waterfalls to the sea - and is the home of the famous black swans and many species of waterfowl.
Dawlish has an abundance of individual shops, cafes, inns and restaurants in the town and plenty of things to do. There’s a theatre, museum, leisure centre, mini-golf on the seafront, bowling green and plenty of boat and fishing trips to nearby resorts.
And night hundreds of coloured lights transform Dawlish - as a magical place for a summer evening stroll.
Dawlish is set at the edge of beautiful rolling countryside as it meets the impressive cliffs of the South Devon coastline. There are three beaches; Boat Cove, Coryton Cove and Dawlish main beach that stretches all the way to the award-winning beach of Dawlish Warren.
