A small town with an attractive square with a restored working woollen mill
(coldharbour mill). There is a beautiful church which is noted for having the longest rood screen in Devon. Wool was the town's lifeblood during the 18th century and was exported to the low countries.
Coldharbour Mill is working wool museum, and makes an interesting visit for the family. The mill currently produces Devon and Somerset tartans, which are available to buy from the museum shop. The mill still has working spinning and weaving machinery as well as special days when the mill can still be steam powered.
